Q: Can I link to the TCOC site?

A: Maybe. Currently, the web has basically three types of links and we have an answer for each:

1. Straight links. A straight link is a link to another site using the site's URL. For example,

<a href="http://www.tall.org/clubs/cal/tcoc/index.htm"> Tall Club of Orange County</a>

To the Tall Club of Orange County We encourage this type of link and even provide this button you can use on your site. Instructions on how to insert this link button on your website follow below.

2. Framed In Link. This type of link "captures" a site's content in the frame of another site through the use of the HTML frame function. TCOC does not permit this type of link under any circumstance. Any use of frames to capture TCOC content is an impermissible and unauthorized use of TCOC property.

3. Captured Content Link. This type of link captures content by bringing content from another site into the referencing site through the use of a URL. TCOC permits this type of link to posted flyers ONLY.

A: You may copy, store, and print material for your own non-commercial, personal, and individual use. You may not abbreviate, modify, edit, or republish TCOC material in any way without permission. As long as you don't modify the information, or use the material to promote yourself or a third party, you may absolutely print out information for your own personal use. However, any reproduction or copying of any sort for any use other than your own non-commercial, personal and individual use is strictly forbidden unless you have explicit written permission from TCOC. Note that reposting TCOC material on a publicly accessible web site IS NOT personal use.

Q: What about all of the cool TCOC stuff I've seen? Can I make some too?

A: "TCOC" has appeared on many things over the last few years, for the most part to generate funds for worthy causes and to improve visibility of the club.  Any plans to make, market or otherwise distribute merchandise that uses either the TCOC name, various logos, or any other TCOC property must first be approved by TCOC.

  </a>
