JASON DANIEL GOSZ MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP                             (updated Sep 17 2009  dar)

 

The Tall Club of Milwaukee, a member club of Tall Clubs International, Inc. (TCI) is offering the Jason Daniel Gosz Memorial Scholarship to a graduating senior who meets the minimum height requirement of 5'10" for females and 6'2" for males and who shows a high level of academic achievement, involvement in school activities, personal achievement and involvement in volunteer work. The applicants are limited to being enrolled in a high school in the State of Wisconsin. This year we will award a $250 scholarship.

 

In addition to the local award, the winner of  the Jason Daniel Gosz Memorial Scholarship will be submitted by the Tall Club of Milwaukee to the TCI Scholarship Committee and will be considered to receive the Kae Sumner Einfeldt Scholarship Award, a $1,000 scholarship.

 

Directions to apply for the Jason Daniel Gosz Memorial Scholarship:

 

       Download and complete the latest  TCI Scholarship and Scholarship Release forms. Please ignore if they’re still labeled for a previous year. The forms are still the same.

       

       Include a transcript of your school records.

 

        Write an essay on "What Being Tall Means to Me."  This essay should be no longer than one single or double-spaced typewritten page.  Please be sure to include your name and high school of attendance.

 

        Submit the downloaded recommendation forms to two individuals of your choice.  One must be employed at your high school (i.e. teacher, counselor, coach, etc.), and one must be another adult who is not a relative but who is part of your community and who you know outside of school. Recommendations must be submitted with your application.

 

        All of the above information must be postmarked no later than Saturday March 6, 2010.

 The winner will be notified by the end of march and then requested to provide a wallet-size photo and transcript to be included with application for the Kae Sumner Einfeldt Scholarship Award.
