11th Annual Tall Club Reunion: August 2, 2026

This is my family’s beach cottage built in 1907 and one of the early Tip Toppers’ stomping grounds including founder Kae Sumner Einfeldt. My mother, Lucile Poor (one of the original 9 Tip Toppers) met my father, John Q. Long, in the Tall Club at a Sunset Beach party and honeymooned here too. Scrapbooks from that era available. Arrivals begin at 11 AM and BBQ will start at approximately 1 PM Please bring the normal beach accoutrements (swimsuit, sunblock, hat, sunglasses, boogie board, towels, beach chair, ice chest, change of clothes). We do have some extra towels and beach chairs, if you can’t bring them. We will have pop-up tents set up on the green belt and in front of the house. NOTE: There is a 7-11 and a liquor store half a block away. For full details, look here.

TCI Convention 2026: Hurray for Hollywood

Registration Chair: Jim Nelson (847) 421-2049 Registration Details: Non-refundable deposit of $175 (US Funds) is due with each registration to save your package rate. Send this form and the deposit to Jim Nelson at 6959 W. Hobart, Chicago, IL 60631. Make checks payable to 2026 TCI Convention. Final payment due July 15, 2026. Whisky Hotel has a reserved block of 50 rooms. BOOK SOON!

News and Notes

For those attendees of this year’s 2026 TCI convention in Hollywood flying in to Burbank or LAX, Pat Fleming formally of Orange County Tall Club, is offering transportation services from either location. This is his way of paying it forward for all that TCI and OCTC has paid him. Instead of contracting a Ride Share Service for over $50.00, a minimum donation of at least $25.00 to either TCI or Marfan Foundations is requested for his services. That way you save money for the transportation to the Hotel and give to a great cause. He is offering his service from Saturday August 1, 2026 until Monday August 3, 2026. He will be compiling a list of those needing a ride. Depending on your airport and flight time, he may stay near the airport to pick up other attendees flying in. You may be slightly delayed getting to the Whisky Hotel. His vehicle is a Ford F-150 Crew Cab and would be able to provide up to 4 persons along with their baggage in the covered bed of the truck. Anyone that is interested in using his services, please contact him directly through his Facebook page (which is linked through his name), or contact one of the Convention Committee members for his contact information to speak with him directly.

As we are approaching the 2026 TCI Convention, Hooray for Hollywood, Shoot for the Stars, the Convention Committee would like to impress upon you to get your Additional Information Form into Jim Nelson. We need this information to be able to make this a Fabulous Convention. If you have not registered for the hotel, or the Convention itself, now is the time to do so. We are getting to the final days of planning and need all the information now.

If you are coming as a Partial Package Attendee, you need to get Partial Package Form, Additional Information Form and your Whisky Hotel reservations in NOW. This is needed as we approach the Convention and have to get things ordered. 

The Committee WILL NOT be accepting walk-in registrations for either full or partial packages for any part of the Convention. You must registered to attend.

During this year’s Convention, the Committee has come up with After Hours themes. Due to the airline’s baggage fees, the Committee has made them very easy dress-ups. They are as follows:

Tuesday	Loud Shirt Night/Hawaiian	JUST STAND OUT
Wednesday	Favorite Hollywood Character	From the 1920’s to the 2020’s, 100+ Years of Movies
Thursday	Crazy Socks and Hat Night	Don’t Forget To Roll Your Pants Up For All To See
Friday	PJ’s	No Birthday Suits Please!
Saturday	Tall Club T-Shirt Night	It Doesn’t Even Have To Be Your Club
